Siemens and Engineers Ireland launch new partnership to offer locally based, certified technology training programmes for Irish manufacturers

Initiative part of Siemens Ireland’s continuing commitment to local customer support
Complements Engineers Ireland’s strategic objective of increasing the technical skills base in Ireland’s hi-tech manufacturing sector 

Siemens, in conjunction with Engineers Ireland, is delighted to announce a new partnership to deliver Siemens certified training (“SITRAIN”) from 31 May 2017 to manufacturers in the fast growing Life Sciences, Food & Beverages and general industrial sectors across Ireland. This partnership will ensure that both the highest-standard of professional and practical learning opportunities will be provided for Siemens’ customers at convenient locations in Ireland.

Siemens and Engineers Ireland will offer a wide range of SITRAIN courses from Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), critical for the automation of many processes to courses on Automation Systems, Process Control Systems, Industrial Communications, Process Instruments and Analytics, Drive Technologies and Digitalization programmes.

This initiative, part of Siemens’ commitment to excellent customer support, complements Engineers Ireland’s strategic objective of increasing the technical skills base in the hi-tech manufacturing sector and career development for engineers and technicians based in Ireland.

Gary O’Callaghan, Chief Executive of Siemens Ltd., said: “With 160,000 people employed in Irish manufacturing, it’s a critical sector for our economy.
